Job Description
The Antibody Development Scientist will be responsible for target level RAbMab development process control to drive target through technical scoping, immunization and development process to ensure high quality RabMabs to be developed for life sciences, across all delivery destinations (Custom, collaborator, partner or catalogue). The candidate will collaborate with RA leads, colleagues in protein science and production teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the whole process of target level antibody development until publication. Ensure full alignment on the product level TPP at the start of the development process; verify delivery of the TPP with the responsible triad at the conclusion of the development process.
- Immunogen design based on database and target information. Study on target info based on published papers, commercially available antibody datasheet and Swiss-Prot. Identify the screening materials and commercially available benchmark to design experiments.
- Request immunization task, review the serum titer and make decision whether the project could be moved to next stage or it need further boost.
- Request fusion or sorting task, review the screening results, select the clone candidates for HT-Recombination and make decision whether it could be moved to next Recombination stage.
- Request recombination task and application test task; review results of application test and do troubleshooting if necessary and move the best clone candidates to sequencing process and Production stage.
- Request production task and do troubleshooting on issue projects with corresponding scientists from Manufacturing team. Request QC test task based on targets information and TPP.
- Data review of application results and do troubleshooting on issued projects at QC stage. Template preparation for Cam RabMab review meeting.
- Work closely with RA leads, colleagues in protein science, antibody screening and validation, production teams to ensure targets being processed to immunization and development process smoothly.
- Report progress to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
You will have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences with hands on experiences in sELISA, WB, FC, IHC, ChIP, IF/ICC, etc. and be able to do troubleshooting. Post Doc and industry experience are preferred. A solid record of accomplishments and publications as evidence of scientific knowledge. Outstanding communication, interpersonal and project management skills are all required to be successful in this role as well as being adaptable, motivated, and enthusiastic.
Experiences in immunogen design and epitope prediction are desirable however not essential.
