Job Description

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences? Abcam, a leading life sciences company, is seeking a Demand Management Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Waltham, MA on a 6-month contract basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships with Global Sales Account Managers and Customer Mission Operations to enhance customer experience.
  • Act as the primary contact for the Commercial team, supporting customer demand effectively.
  • Provide accurate delivery estimates and promptly communicate changes to Account Managers.
  • Monitor and improve On-Time Delivery for priority orders.
  • Channel supply queries to the appropriate departments within Supply Chain.
  • Maintain performance metrics, track orders, manage data, and facilitate inventory transfers while handling ad hoc duties as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess an Associate degree or equivalent professional experience, demonstrating a clear and concise communication style. We are seeking individuals who are driven to consistently delight our customers in every interaction. Basic Excel proficiency is required, including experience with sorting data, adding formulas, Pivot tables, and data filters. Critical thinking skills are essential, as you will navigate an ever-changing environment, and a willingness to learn, make mistakes, and seek clarification through questions is highly valued.

Desired qualifications include prior experience in a customer-service role, whether internal or external, showcasing superior interpersonal skills for effective communication both externally with suppliers and internally with colleagues. Strong time management and organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail, are important attributes. Experience in effectively solving problems and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, are advantageous, as you will often work with large files, making intermediate Excel skills highly beneficial for success in this position.
