Job Summary:
The Geographic Compliance and Corporate (GCC) Legal team provides and manages legal advice and support to Accenture within a broader Legal team. Legal prides itself on providing objective, focused, commercially relevant advice and solutions based on a deep understanding of the law and Accenture's business.
This position is a full time Sydney based role (office based as required by the GCC lead combined with flexible work location arrangements) to be filled by an experienced legal counsel, with 5+ years of corporate work experience in a MNC or law firm (with in-house experience). The role will mainly focus on compliance, regulatory and corporate matters for Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in corporate and regulatory compliance work to ensure compliance with the applicable local and international laws and regulations, including monitoring regulatory developments, assessing, advising on and implementing any necessary operational changes.
Strong experience in data privacy law required.
Review, advise, initiate and follow up on corporate matters (licenses and permits etc.)
Negotiate and draft contracts and corporate documents that promote the company’s business objectives and mitigate risks.
Review procurement contracts and provide transactional support to corporate functions.
Assist in the coordination and implementation of Post-Merger Integration process and help manage the integration/restructuring of acquired companies.
Provide assistance with corporate law and regulatory advice in relation to restructuring and business activities.
Provide regulatory compliance support (e.g ASIC, NZ Companies Office).
Liaise with external counsel as required re: regulatory reviews for service offerings, leasing matters, ad-hoc matters.
Job Qualifications:
LLB or equivalent law degree.
5+ years of relevant legal experience with an MNC and/or a law firm (with in-house experience).
Experienced in data privacy, corporate work and/or commercial law.
Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
Ability to consistently apply good judgment and work autonomously.
Solution orientated mindset with an ability to project manage matters to a conclusion.
Confidence in working and communicating with all levels of management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate as part of a broader and diverse team.
