We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Career Development Program Lead for "Workplay." Workplay is a revolutionary platform designed to connect AFLW players with diverse and meaningful employment opportunities.

As the Career Development Program Lead, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the platform's user base, enhancing its visibility, and fostering valuable partnerships to ensure its continued success in empowering AFLW players to excel both on and off the field.
- Platform Management
- Lead the operations of Workplay and drive the use of the platform from AFLW players, PDM’s and AFLW Corporate Partners
- Manage the on-boarding of players, PDMs and new partners including providing training for the platform, publishing new profiles and ensuring the profiles are up to date
- Manage the Workplay Inbox and any queries from players, PDMs and partners
- Develop and Implement Growth Strategies
- Devise innovative strategies to drive player and partner usage and engagement on the Workplay platform.
- Work with the Partnerships Team to identify target partners to expand the platform's reach and impact.
- Lead the development of compelling content, including website content, social media updates, and newsletters, to engage existing and potential players and partners.
- Partner Engagement
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential partners to create a diverse range of suitable job opportunities for AFLW players.
- Collaborate with partners to understand their talent needs and effectively match them with suitable players on the platform.
- Work with partners to develop AFLW appropriate jobs, ensuring appropriate flexibility and skill set and explore opportunities to develop AFLW specific programs at partner organisations.
- Actively engage with partners and potential partners showcasing the unique value AFLW players bring to the workforce.
- Advocate for the Workplay platform as a valuable resource for sourcing talented, resilient, and skilled candidates for their job openings.
- Delivery of Workplay Online Workshop series and events
- Ensure strong partner satisfaction and engagement to foster long-term collaborations
- Player Engagement
- Work with AFLW Club Player Development Managers to grow player usage and engagement on the Workplay platform.
- Partner with AFLW Club Player Development Managers to improve the quality of player profiles on the platform, understand players actively looking for work and identify potentially suitable opportunities.
- User Experience Enhancement
- Continuously gather feedback from partners and players to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunities for improvement on the platform.
- Work closely with the platform support team to implement user-centered enhancements that optimize user experience and increase platform usability.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of player profiles, opportunities, and successful connections made through the Workplay platform.
- Generate regular reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting successful placements, platform growth metrics, and key insights.
- Brand Ambassadorship & Platform Advocacy
- Represent Workplay at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase awareness and establish the platform as a leader in connecting athletes with employment opportunities.
This is a maximum term opportunity through until December 2024.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proven experience in career coaching/counseling, talent acquisition and/or digital platform growth strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with AFLW players and potential employers.
- Strong networking abilities, able to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and draw actionable insights for growth optimization.
- Passion for gender equality, diversity, and the advancement of women's sports.
- Organized and detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple connections, relationships and growth initiatives simultaneously.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Sports Management, or a related field with a focus on talent management, athlete development and career development preferred.
- Knowledge of AFLW and the broader sports industry is a plus.
