Job Summary
The EDI Analyst supports stakeholders such as Operations, Sales, IT, Accounting and external business partners. Responsible for monitoring and managing EDI file exchange processes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Support various standard EDI transactions
- Ensure interfaces are performing as designed
- Collaborate with payer, clearinghouses and/or trading partners to successfully maintain the EDI processes
- Ensuring data integrity
- Solve EDI incidents/problems and actively managing and communicating issues
- Manage the resolution process as needed
- Exchange information and share knowledge with the team to maximize understanding and the effectiveness
- Escalate prolonged EDI issues to Information Technology management
- Work proactively to implement new EDI partners and file exchanges by working with clients, client third party administrators and other external entities
- Maintain excellent relationships with 3rd party vendors and clients
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required and/or assigned
Education & Experience Required
- Minimum Required 2+ years working in EDI production support environment
- Minimum Required Strong knowledge of end-to-end EDI processes with proven hands-on experience
- Minimum Required Experience with troubleshooting/problem resolution, and handling on boarding requests
- Minimum Required In depth knowledge of HIPAA, 834, 837, 999 and other healthcare EDI standard formats
Education & Experience Preferred
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree Business Information Systems or related course of study
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Organized with ability to design and maintain effective tracking systems
- Must be technically savvy and comfortable using software, including, but not limited to: SQL, MS Office, insurance portals, and Electronic claims submissions.

- Strong work ethic with proven track record of accuracy, dependability and consistency
- Must be able to think independently, have strong problem-solving skills, and have a continuous improvement mentality.
