Job Summary

Develop, maintains, and integrates application software, related project management activity, and production support; works closely with internal and external clients, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements; Develops and integrates application software, including unit testing and implementation efforts; continues to maintain and support software implementation.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works on multiple projects at a time as a member of each project team

  • Works on small and large, moderately complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines that include application analysis, design, development integration

  • Develops, tests and implements application modules from multiple systems the team has developed or modified ensuring application meets the needs of the client and business

  • Provides ongoing maintenance and production support of current projects and systems

  • Handles production support within area of expertise and support issues referred by managers

  • Makes moderate to complex modifications to existing software applications to meet the needs of the client and business

  • Responsible for web development for both internal and external clients; knowledge base development and maintenance

  • Creates web applications to meet the needs of client and business

  • Responsible for webserver and provides ongoing maintenance and production support

  • Integrates current and future software applications

  • Works with internal and external clients to develop automated work flows

  • IT implementation & support of Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics and Reporting applications tools

  • Build and support ETL (Extract, Transformation & Load) from varied data sources to a Data Warehouse

  • IT Lead as part of the Communicorp BI Governance Team

  • Support for Avanti Slingshot (MIS) & Dynamics GP (Finance) application systems

  • Performs other related duties as required

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or programming
  • Three to five years of experience3 years bindery experience
  • Experience and understanding of multiple programming languages and application programs as listed below

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience with .NET Framework, .NET/C#, Javascript, C++, ASP.net, and VB.NET programming languages

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience with HTML5 and XML

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse setup, BI and Analytics reporting tools

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience

  • Proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience of SQL and relational database systems

  • Knowledge of BI360 Suite and Microsoft Power BI Tools a plus

  • Microsoft Office (Intermediate knowledge and experience with MS Excel), Adobe Suite

  • Project management skills
