What will you be doing in this role?
- Classroom management skills
- Extensive knowledge of Aflac Group’s products, services, and systems
- Extensive knowledge of current adult learning theory to develop curriculum designed for adult learning
- Knowledge of the insurance industry including products, processes, and terminology
- Experience writing technical and/or online documentation for end-users
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication, and team facilitation skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers; ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas
- Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office software, including intermediate skill using Excel and PowerPoint
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of related work experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and revises course materials to enhance knowledge and skills required to optimize individual and company performance; serves as instructor for a wide variety of assigned topics, courses, and workshops; participates in formal and informal training, and orientation programs
- Identifies training requirements for new or enhanced products/services; coordinates training programs, including scheduling, reserving facilities, visual aids, issuing certificates, and following up on training evaluations
- Formulates teaching outline and recommends instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops; selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference works
- Performs tasks under general direction; originates/produces imaginative or innovative training methods to influence and motivate internal and external customers; accepts and retains knowledge, skills, and abilities; has work reviewed for soundness of judgments, overall adequacy, and accuracy
- Disseminates information on available training courses and encourages attendance; provides input on training department communication materials; analyzes employee feedback and performance data to measure, identify, and eliminate performance gaps; coordinates the deployment of training programs
- Confers with management to learn about work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, products/services, and technologies; creatively develops and facilitates new programs as needed; works with subject matter experts to identify training needs stemming from new or revised policies/procedures; provides input to the strategic and annual plans for the group

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $105,000.
