Worker Designation – This role is designated as a hybrid role, meaning that you will be expected to work at Aflac Group Laurel Street Office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Experience with Windows-based software, to include Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of quality management tools, concepts/methodology, practices, and techniques
- Strong projects planning and management skills to include cost benefit analysis
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal/external customers and senior management
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration or a related field
- Four to six years of job-related work experience (e.g., quality control, project coordination/management, business process analysis, etc.)
- Three years in a leadership/senior/supervisory capacity
- ISO Lead Auditor certification

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads, coaches, and develops the staff on the quality team; assesses resource availability and ensures each relevant business unit is provided the appropriate staffing support, establishes and manages team priorities, oversees the acclimation of new employees to the quality department, ensures that current and historical information is maintained on deliverables via the quality database, manages team activity based on project need, makes recommendations to Human Resources regarding employee behavior which will influence decisions regarding promotions, terminations, and other corrective actions
- Assesses changes in the business environment if additional training of quality auditors is required for supporting the departments long term quality objectives; ensures all audit personnel are adequately trained and skilled with the body of knowledge required for satisfying audit responsibilities; provides constructive feedback to employees, monitors the progress of employees, administers employee appraisals and development opportunities; educates the audit team about the insurance operations business strategy along with its correlation to process audit need, participate in business quality strategy sessions and implement
- Ensures that an adequate audit system is in place which will support the needs of the applicable business units/functions for which the audit process will observe, ensures an audit manual is developed and consistently maintained so its direction will always be current and provide adequate support to the various process functions observed, ensures the activities of audit personnel are in direct support of the audit system, ensures audit personnel have a clear understanding of the audit manual purpose and use, prepares and delivers audit findings to business unit management and Operations Risk Management via trend analysis presentations, serves as mediator when questions concerning audit findings or observations are made from the various business units or the individual auditors, facilitates calibration sessions with Internal Audit and the business units
- Defines the divisions process improvement needs and related information system requirements jointly with management and department users, works to identify technical solutions that satisfy the business needs for the future; perform independent reviews of problem situations, develops solutions, and implement action steps to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction; reviews submitted project requests for similarities and identities when programs are needed to monitor projects
- Stays abreast of industry trends and changes, incorporating best practices in the development of technology, quality standards, policies, and programs; identifies and monitors technology enhancement possibilities and recommends ways to apply to process improvement and/or process reengineering to data, tools, and technology; plans, organizes, and implements feasibility studies; recommends and monitors development and implementation of projects on behalf of the business units to ensure they support strategic goals, meet the functional needs of the user, and are integrated smoothly into the environment

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $140,000.
