The Opportunity
We now have exciting opportunity available for an ITSM Specialist to join our Information Technology team in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide on a Permanent Full time basis. We will also consider job share arrangements, part-time and flexible work arrangements such as compressed working.
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Operations Manager, The ITSM Specialist - Change Management role will play an integral part within the IT Service Delivery team and the wider IT Service & Operations team.
The role will ensure all Change and Configuration management processes are documented, published and adopted by all IT and OT teams. Responsible for the upkeep of end-to-end processes, the governance of these processes, ensure that APA IT systems are compliant with APA’s security policies, standards and security and risk reporting requirements
Key Responsibilities
- IT and OT Change Management
- Engage with stakeholders to Streamline processes based on Business Requirements
- Monitor and review all IT and OT Changes daily and drive process hygiene and compliance
- Chair CAB and Weekly Change meetings to ensure all Changes are reviewed and approved/rejected by the appropriate stakeholders
- Work with IT Suppliers and Vendors to ensure process alignment and reporting
- Develop and schedule Change reports on Change KPIs and trending
- Improve the overall Change Management processes to add value to the wider business, drive down unauthorised changes, minimise failed changes etc.
- Input into other Service Management areas such as Incident/Major Incident, Request and Problem management where necessary
- Flexible to take on initiatives in other areas of Service Management where necessary
- Escalation management: manage first level escalations from stakeholders on Change Management process, escalate to Service Delivery lead/manager as appropriate
- Reporting of findings and findings dashboard from security reviews and penetration testing activities
- Reporting of security and technology risk profiles including Key Risk Indicators (KRI) / Key Risk Areas (KRA) data via ServiceNow dashboards
- Continuous Improvement and automation of KRI reporting
- Engaging with various system SME’s and system owners to design, implement, and remediate security controls (patching, security review findings
- Health, Safety & Environment:
- Comply with APA Group policies and procedures in anything that they do or require, in order to ensure a safe workplace.
Your Background
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundational certificate (Must have)
- ITIL Release, Control and Validation or equivalent (Desired
- Formal qualifications or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Information Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, Change, Security, risk and assurance reporting, or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience managing Change and Configuration management processes in complex IT environments
- ServiceNow: hands on experience from a Process Owner role – ITSM and ITOM
- Managed/ Chaired CAB and Change review meeting
- Capability to develop ServiceNow reports/ dashboards
- Good understanding on Service Management best practices
- Experience working with ServiceNow/ ServiceNow partners on system enhancements and bug fixes
