Reporting to the VP of Business Operations, the Senior Director of PMO will lead a large, globally dispersed team of PMO professionals. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the global product technology leadership team, with high visibility and responsibility for supporting a diverse range of internal customers worldwide, each with competing priorities.
Success in this position requires the ability to influence positive outcomes within a highly matrixed organization. As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) has experienced rapid growth this year, a strong focus is required to build, mature, and effectively embed the PMO. Key priorities for this role include establishing a comprehensive development framework, implementing career pathing to nurture talent, and building a robust leadership bench to support future growth.
What You'll Do
Define the communication strategy and effectively manage stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment with PMO guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Cultivate strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, status, and resource allocation.
Direct the standardization of PMO tools, templates, and methodologies across the growing ALABs PMO organization, ensuring consistent standards while enhancing hybrid delivery capabilities to drive quality outcomes.
Lead the development and implementation of the PMO strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Oversee project portfolio management, prioritizing projects based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and risk assessment.
Build and lead a high-performing PMO team by providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.
Direct the implementation of hybrid PMO methodologies, ensuring a balanced integration of Agile and traditional approaches.
Establish and refine project management methodologies, tools, and processes to improve project delivery and outcomes.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and PMO effectiveness.
Take a proactive and strategic approach to risk management for hybrid methodologies, regularly updating the risk management framework and practices to ensure adaptability across all initiatives.
