Paralegal - Trademark & Intellectual Property
What You'll Do
Conduct basic and intermediate clearance analysis of trademarks, artwork, and marketing materials, maintain trademark and copyright portfolio and records, and prepare reports to internal business clients under the direction of in-house counsel
Prepare and file trademark and copyright applications and related maintenance submissions
Coordinate with foreign counsel on trademark prosecution and maintenance outside of the U.S.
Work on low and medium-effort legal documents that require minimum independent drafting (primarily by utilizing Company approved templates or modifying same)
Ensure priority and rush assignments are handled effectively and efficiently
Assist with due diligence investigations in connection with Company transactions
Communicate consistently to in-house counsel, business clients, vendors, and the USPTO and WIPO
Demonstrate intermediate professional skills and business acumen
Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the values of the Legal Team
Process IP correspondence and draft response documents
Data entry into the global IP database
What We're Looking For
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as an intellectual property paralegal either with a law firm, corporation, or both
Background in trademark clearance and prosecution
A paralegal certificate, or equivalent country certification, is required
Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills
Ability to efficiently manage workload and react promptly to multiple deadlines while meeting personal and team key performance objectives
Must maintain a professional demeanor
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Intermediate Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, DocuSign, and Adobe Professional skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Must be able to work with highly confidential and sensitive documents and information and maintain such confidentiality to protect the Company

$34.38 - $63.86 per hourOur goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
