About the Role
Our Global BHP Technology function is undergoing an exciting transformation journey and moving towards more modern ways of working. Be part of a newly formed global DevOps team that partners with our Operations and Functions to drive improvement and innovation in safety, culture, productivity and social value through the application of world class technology.
As part of the ERP Team (Finance & Risk), you will report directly into the Lead Solution Design (Finance & Risk), and be accountable for defining strategy, roadmap, solution design and architecture of the Finance & Risk ERP application and platforms with a specific focus on SAP Treasury and Risk Management. This role is based in Australia (Brisbane or Perth), Singapore or India (Bangalore).
In this role, your key accountabilities will include:
- Develop and maintain technology strategy and functional roadmaps for Finance & Risk applications, ensuring alignment with global technology strategy and business needs.
- Manage application lifecycle to keep the applications current and relevant for the business.
- Accountable for solution design and architecture governance for Finance & Risk applications (SAP), identifying new solutions and optimization opportunities that will improve the relevance and performance of the ERP (SAP) systems landscape for the Finance & Risk Functions
- Perform high level solution design for enhancements or changes, incorporating the new design into the existing Finance & Risk application architecture
- Support the execution of Opportunity Assessment and Identification & Selection process for projects under the Finance, Risk & Technology portfolio.
- Single point accountability for the ownership and ongoing maintenance of all Blueprints within the assigned Finance & Risk application areas.
- Provide subject matter expertise to technology projects and DevOps teams to drive collaboration within the team to ensure effective execution of solution design on projects and other activities.
About You
- 10-15 years of experience specializing in the design and architecture of SAP Finance & Risk applications.
- Deep understanding of SAP Treasury and Risk Management and knowledge of at least 2 more aspects of Finance & Risk including but not limited to:
- Accounts Payable and Receivables
- General Ledger
- Cost Accounting (including Material Ledger and Product Costing)
- Project Accounting
- Profitability Analysis
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Period End Closing, Tax Accounting
- Joint Venture Accounting
- Royalty Accounting (PRA)
- Treasury
- Governance and Compliance (GRC-PC)
- Risk Management (GRC-RM)
- Expense Management (Concur)
- Business Consolidation (BCS)
- Design, configuration and implementation experience in SAP Finance & Risk applications covering SAP Treasury and Risk Management and S/4 Hana.
- Experience in integration between cloud products like Concur/SAC and backend ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience with industry best practices and implementing these to solve business problems.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Team working skills, capable of engagement and influence different stakeholders and ability to manage conflicts/issues with the business/end users.
