Meaningful Work From Day OneResponsible for safety, employee morale, quality, productivity, and cost, in plant bottling operation. Lead AM pillar to deliver improvements and embed sustainable processes. Provide coaching and career navigation to Plant Production Leaders covering a two-shift bottling operation. Schedule daily and weekly production activities and assign duties and responsibilities for Plant Production Leaders and up to 50 Bottling operators. Lead and coach employees in the proper performance of duties, provide training and address performance issues. Partner with Finance to finalize annual budget and manage labor costs and expenditures. Partner with Maintenance team on achieving OEE targets and developing CI strategy to drive improvements. Partner with planning to develop the most efficient run strategy that supports business objectives.
What You Can Expect
Safety/Environmental: Maintain a safe work environment and promote accident prevention by eliminating potential hazards and driving root cause analysis completion and zero loss mindset. Provides a work environment that complies with all safety and regulatory requirements in relationship to employee’s contractors, products, and customers. Manages environmental and safety issues ethically.
Quality: Monitor the quality of production end products and operational performance and area sanitation and supervise operations to achieve targeted standards and parameters for quality and sanitation. Has ability to understand/interpret results as it relates to business impact; has ability to interpret/understand raw material & finished quality packaging inspection
Productivity: Monitor and record downtime for all equipment in bottling area; ability to investigate equipment and system failures; do root cause analysis and develop and implement continuous improvement solutions; ensure product quality, specify needed maintenance through the work order process. Handle multiple tasks on a daily basis including bottling lines, projects, cost saving measures, and advance planning. Understands and can provide guidance to operators and mechanics on automated packaging equipment, package line control systems, packaging inspecting systems & package coding systems. Has ability to design, modify, and optimize/implement existing plant work processes.
Delivery: Schedules and oversees production and changeovers; develops and prioritizes all maintenance activities within the facility.
Cost: Manage overall financial results which includes budget preparation as well as materials, labor, capital and overhead. Manage/participate in budget development; maintains responsibility for labor/overhead budget; and develops scope, justification and implements cost savings projects
Project Management: Direct and assist on special projects such as equipment installations and modifications, evaluating operations, training, etc. as required. Has ability to manage package changes; and ability to operate as team member interfacing with material/equipment vendors. Factory liaison with business teams in delivery of innovations.
We Are Looking For People Who
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field and 7 years manufacturing experience including 3-5 years experience managing hourly and salaried employees (preferably in a union environment. Continuous Improvement knowledge/experience. Prefer in-depth experience in a consumer products manufacturing environment including; Filling, Capping, Labeling, Uncaser, Depalletizing, Package Cleaning and changeovers.
