What You Will Do in This Role:
Lead the integration of brand, portfolio and sales planning at the national and market level. Serve as the key conduit between the sales team and national brand team to drive alignment, communication and evaluation of brand initiatives and performance within the USA&C. Act as the conduit between brand and sales operations teams, enabling effective local initiatives that grow the brands while focusing on the core national brand strategies and objectives. Socialize consumer and competitive intelligence, local program effectiveness, and ideas/input to brand strategies and programs with region teams. Lead overall SKU management for all RTD skus to ensure product efficiently and effectively gets to market to drive value. Connect with Brown-Forman’s partners (e.g. Coca-Cola) to review and communicate both the commercial plan and any sku management issues that the partnerships need to solve.
What You Can Expect:
Coordination of Commercial Portfolio Planning across internal and external partners
Serve as connector for RTD portfolio commercial opportunities and plans across Brown-Forman, Coca-Cola and Pabst
Participate in development and communicate RTD Portfolio Strategy internally and externally
Lead field facing comms (playbook, innovation guide, etc)
Voice of the field on the brand team and voice of the brand with the field team
Lead First in Class RTD Commercial Execution
Develop success metrics for distributors and support materials to drive excellence
Develop RTC strategy and capabilities including setting KPIs with US and Canada sales teams and ensure consistency with Jack & Coke Global SteerCo approach
Work with BF Sales and Distributor personnel working on the RTD business to ensure consistency and best practice sharing across USA&C
Support consumer facing branded opportunities as needed through collaboration with FMMs, JD Events team and JD BID
Own relationship with Regional and National Account Chain team to create meaningful customized retailer programs and be a resource for retailer account calls for RTDs as needed
Collaborate to develop key market growth plans including strong participation on RTD Distributor Councils
Production and Inventory Management through the Integrated Business Planning Cycle
Monitor and optimize BF inventory/ demand/ supply chain through close collaboration with BF’s external manufacturing team and demand planning/ supply chain group
Serve as liaison with EMO, external partners and production teams to ensure supply meets forecast demand and obsolescence is minimized.
Interface with EMO and Production Finance to relate and track COGS, communicating any changes to partners.
Collaborate with the RTD team and RTD Finance Manager to accurately forecast production needs
Partner with Regional Operations Managers to manage inventory at distributor
Manage ADV/ JDCC Inventory and interface with supply chain and Pabst to ensure optimization of JDCC’s Pinnacle production
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years’ experience in the beverage or CPG industries. High velocity supplier (beer or RTD) and/ or distributor experience is a plus.
Highly developed sales, customer and marketplace acumen with demonstrated ability to leverage understanding of customers/distributors and channels in the marketplace to build innovative solutions
Proven ability to independently organize work projects
Demonstrated strength in collecting and analyzing data and presenting results in a concise actionable format
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead process and work collaboratively in a matrix organization including supply chain/ inventory management and external partners
Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive analysis and develop commercial relevant sales tools
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and solutions across all levels of the organization, including business personnel, senior executive management, production and innovation teams
Experience managing the development and implementation of large scale complex projects
Solid business acumen across multiple functional areas / processes
Ability to work in a high pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy and coordinate multiple projects
Highly developed marketing acumen and capabilities with the HBG framework to achieve break-through business results
Demonstrated proficiency in Google (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) platforms
