The Automotive Detailer is responsible for new vehicles and pre-owned vehicles preparation in terms of appearance conditioning. They prepare vehicles for sale and delivery by washing, vacuuming, and restoring interior, exterior, and under-hood cosmetics. The Automotive Detailer is also responsible to informally inspect vehicles for defective parts and/or accessories and to drive vehicles (automatic and standard transmission) in and around the lot, as well as to nearby aftermarket shops for specialized work. They may be required to replace minor/superficial parts and accessories, tighten, or adjust loose parts, and/or provide minute touch-up when directed to do so.
Compensation - $22 an hour, flat rate
Schedule - Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
- Performs variety of vehicle cleaning tasks such as (but not limited to) washing, polishing, buffing, interior cleaning, and window cleaning
- Cleans upholstery, rugs, glass, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
- Polishes the dashboard, steering wheel, trims, and moldings inside the vehicle
- Applies revitalizers and preservative agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals
- Cleans engine and engine departments with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents
- Wax and buff vehicles after washing, buff out minor scratches
- Polishes the exterior chrome and all trim on the exterior of the vehicle using special cleaner
- Clean and polish wheel rims
- Clean and buff headlights, brake lights and taillights.
- Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Ferry vehicles in/around lot and to/from local aftermarket shops for specialty work such as leather repairs, glass replacement, etc.
- Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
- Assists in all other areas of the Department, as needed

Qualifications
- Previous Auto Detail Experience is preferred
- WA state driver's license is required
- Clean & Clear WA state driving record is required
- Pre-employment background check, reference check & drug screen is required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Positive attitude
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle preferred
