As Marketo Specialist the role will work closely with the Marketing Marketo Manager and Marketing Campaign Manager, to assist with marketing automation and help maintain data hygiene. The role is to help create processes to standardize data as well as help implement them and monitor them on an ongoing basis! This role will also take the lead on optimizing our webinar operations as well as standardization of our trigger email programs. The role will require being familiar with both Marketo and Salesforce! With working knowledge of how these systems integrate with other tools. Working knowledge of APIs and basic SQL is preferred.
What you'll do
- Assist with Marketo Program standardization and maintenance
- Help with Marketo error log troubleshooting
- Ensure all forms, landing pages, programs, etc are built following approved templates/guidelines
- Audit existing Marketo Programs to ensure they are deactivated at end of life/need
- Conduct data imports(create and upsert) and exports via API or SQL
- Update/draft technical documentation for existing Marketo processes
- Modernize/scale the Meraki Webinar program efforts within Marketo (live and on-demand)
- Strategic execution for email campaigns such as trigger email programs that include welcome, nurture, retention, cross-sell and upgrade programs
- Understand how data flows through the marketing automation platform to ensure segments are using all available data and that data is consistently and accurately being provided to sales and other systems
- Work with stakeholders and Marketing Analytics team to develop/deliver necessary reporting
- Establish/maintain snipits and tokens to create personalized campaigns within Marketo
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 4 - 6 years of experience with marketing automation, preferably B2B
- Proven Marketo experience with a background in supporting complex marketing automation campaigns
- Experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Excellent grasp of best practices for email marketing and design (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, subject line testing, ALT tags, image optimization, etc.)
- Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
- HTML/CSS knowledge for email design and coding
- Experience using basic SQL to query
- Marketing automation certification is preferred but not required
