Our portfolio includes wireless, security, intelligent insights, and smart spaces.

Cisco has named #1 Best Company to Work For in the U.S. by Fortune in 2021!

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a UX Researcher who will work with design, product management, and engineering partners to help understand our users, get answers to our questions, and inspire our user experiences. You will work to understand the complex needs and motivations of IT administrators and help the organization develop empathy accordingly.

Meraki believes the quality of our products is dependent on the quality of our teams. We place a high value on cultivating the growth and development of everyone we hire. On the UX team, we give and get feedback early and often, share what we know, and learn from each other. As a UX Researcher, you will help the team bring further definition to our UX research practice.

Our team’s primary focus is on software, but we also find opportunities to collaborate with teams across the organization and think about how to improve the entire customer journey.

You will:

  • Help your teams empathize with users and identify the right problems to solve.
  • Identify the best methods, qualitative and quantitative, to help teams get answers to their questions.
  • Conduct evaluative UX research including concept testing and usability testing.
  • Conduct generative UX research including in-depth interviews, in-context research, and co-creation.
  • Synthesize findings into actionable outputs, such as reports, personas, user flows, user journey maps, prioritized usability enhancements, etc.
  • Identify the most effective means of recruiting participants for each study, and screen, schedule, and communicate with research participants.
  • Craft meaningful stories about our users to help teams align on product experiences and features.
  • Be an advocate of our users and of the UX research function inside and outside of the UX research team including working with PMs, engineering, design and other team members

You’d be a good fit if you:

  • Have a degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human-computer Interaction (HCI), or other related field.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience with UX research.
  • Have experience with analytics tools such as Qualtrics, Usertesting.com, Google Analytics, and FullStory.
  • Have a desire to understand people; their behaviors, attitudes, and motivations.
  • Find excitement in working in an industry with complex workflows.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in tradeoffs between time/effort and quality.
  • Have an effective verbal and written communication style to distill complex research results into understandable, compelling, and actionable insights.
  • Are a self-starter - you don’t wait for orders and identify what we need to learn and find the answers.
  • Are adaptable, resilient, and welcome change.
  • Have a growth mentality - you are continually learning.
  • Bring energy, empathy, and a sense of humor to work every day.

Does this sound like you? We’d love to hear from you!
