We are seeking a Mechanical Sourcing Manager to manage our enclosure suppliers and interface with our ODMs. As part of this role, you will develop cross-functional relationships across Engineering, Supply Chain, Business operations and product at Meraki, synthesizing requirements and shaping our infrastructure build-out.

You Will

  • Oversee the particulars of where and how these products will be made.
  • Provide the team with an accurate picture of emerging technologies and process in an ever-shifting market, then use this knowledge and your unimpeachable negotiation abilities to get the best deal for us.
  • Develop strategic relationships with mechanical suppliers and conduct business reviews
  • Manage suppliers providing the best in part costs, tooling costs, part quality, & delivery
  • Work onsite with suppliers to manage the Meraki relationship supporting new products (NPI) activities..
  • Influence supplier selection with the Hardware Team.

You Have

  • BS in Mechanical or Equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing and managing mechanical suppliers (sheet metal, plastics, castings, CNC, enclosures)
  • Knowledge in researching, building, and maintaining cost models, contract negotiations and supplier management
  • Understand technology and align NPI through early design engagement with product design mechanical engineer
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence supplier management at all levels
  • Peerless discretion and judgment.
  • Solid fact-finding abilities.
  • Able to travel up to 35% - 40% to Asia, especially Taiwan and China.

Bonus If You Have

  • MBA in Supply Chain, operations or Finance.
  • Experience in NPI product operations and mechanical manufacturing process
  • Emphasis on injection molded plastics, castings and machinings. Other commodities a plus

Compensation Range:
$133,300$178,500 USD

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
