The Cisco Meraki BU Learning & Development team is looking for an experienced technical Senior Content Manager to join our team. As a Senior Content Manager, you will partner with our Knowledge Manager and Content Manager to define and execute strategic initiatives designed to improve the usability, search and discoverability, and efficacy of Meraki Product Documentation and the Meraki Technical Support Knowledge Base.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy (50%)
- Define a strategic vision for Meraki Documentation, accounting for various content types, audiences and maintenance needs
- Identify internal and external user personas and outline key objects to improve usability and discoverability for those personas
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
- Communicate content strategy to stakeholder teams and define key results against which progress can be measured
Management (30%)
- Own the structure and organization of Meraki Documentation, including information architecture and initiatives to update or improve taxonomies and schema
- Use reporting and analytics to assess content performance and design remediation plans to improve underperforming content
- Be a vocal advocate of new processes to introduce editorial rigor
Professional Development (20%)

- Staying well-versed in new or emerging content management concepts and platforms, acquiring industry certifications, attending meetups, webinars, and conferences
- Developing knowledge of networking concepts and learning more about Meraki products
- Finding the intersection between your personal development interests and our business needs to identify side initiatives
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in technical content management or technical writing
- At least 3 years of experience as an Information Architect or Content Strategist, designing strategic solutions for online content
- Experience defining or developing taxonomies for complex technical content that serves multiple audiences
- Experience optimizing content for search and discoverability
- Experience defining requirements for content platform enhancements to improve content usability and efficacy
- Experience using analytics to define needs and identify opportunities for improvement, and defining appropriate metrics to track success
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UX research and design
- Experience developing content standards for accessibility
- Previous experience with large-scale content migrations
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
