As our Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the team in inventory control operations to include inventory reconciliations, inbound management, reverse logistics and product escalations. You will collaborate with multiple departments and distribution centers to ensure seamless inventory control operations, globally. You are a hardworking individual, who pays great attention to detail, has excellent problem-solving abilities, and loves challenges.
What You Will Do:
Cisco Meraki is looking for a new Inventory Specialist to join our Operations Team in Chicago! - Drive team efforts and coordination of programs including, but not limited to, reverse logistics, inventory reconciliation, inbound management, various escalations
- Assist leadership with task allocation and work team structure with the ability to provide process driven guidance across the team
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide direction to the team and DCs (Distribution Centers) for escalations including, but not limited to, product isolations and reworks
- Create custom reports in existing databases and systems with the ability to identify trends and patterns in a dataset.
- Inventory management – assist Recon Specialist with cycle counting and annual physical inventory at our DCs (Distribution Centers) as needed
- Inbound management – oversee inbound operations, processing, and accuracy of goods to our DCs (Distribution Centers)
- ERP transaction – perform inventory transactions such as transfers, receipts, adjustments, and reporting duties
- Other duties and projects as assigned

- 4-6 years of experience in inventory control operations
- Excellent organization, presentation, and communications skills (phone, email, meetings)
- Deep understanding of operational processes and the ability to speak on those processes to greater teams
- Experience with Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Tableau, SharePoint, MS office suite, and Oracle
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
