What You Will Do
Product Sales Specialist will be responsible for positioning and selling Meraki revenue. Through ambitious prospecting, finding opportunities, and collaborating with Cisco account teams and partners, drive deals through close delivering on and exceeding quarterly quota. Success will be dependent not only on your ability to sell but also on the relationships you develop with regional channel partners and Cisco account teams. This is a high-energy position requiring you to be deeply motivated and results driven with a hunter mentality; it will also require someone who is equally comfortable working in a strategic and tactical capacity.
- Passionately discover, manage and close deals and consistently remain highly results-oriented in the market space
- Maintain and lead detailed and accurate quarterly forecasting
- Work in a highly collaborative environment to team with Cisco Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Channel Partners to drive revenue and contribute to ambitious YoY growth rates
- Develop a predictable pipeline of short, mid, and long-term business.
- Help to go above and beyond by identifying impactful user cases that enable people to transform their businesses with Meraki solutions.
- Promote your customers and ecosystem around you on the concept of cloud-managed networking for digital business.
- Empower and build extended teams around you to unlock the power of Cisco’s Sales organization, customer base and partner organization.
- Show up every single day with willingness to learn, a real passion for customer delight, and a desire to have fun while improving the lives of others
Who You Are
- 5 - 7+ years technology sales experience in a field sales capacity
- Shown success, a consistent track record with detailed quota attainment. 3+ years over achievement
- Excellent at relationship building skills and have validated decision-making ability
- BA/BS or equivalent practical experience. MBA or master’s degree a plus
- Need to be based in region
- 50% travel required across territory

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
