THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a 12 month fixed term role covering extended parental leave.
The Retail Operations Specialist is key to ensuring the smooth and accurate execution of operational processes and contractual requirements within CS Energy’s Retail Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business. Working collaboratively with the Retail, Finance, and Risk teams, this role focuses on delivering high-quality service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:
- Act as the initial point of contact for incoming Retail C&I customer inquiries.
- Coordinate resolution of customer inquiries across phone and digital channels, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.

Billing Operations:
- Manage the monthly billing process for Retail C&I customers, collaborating with the Billing Provider to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Manage data integration between CS Energy systems and external billing systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment across platforms.

Process Improvement:
- Support the Retail Operations Manager in developing and refining systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, adapting processes to support new products and market opportunities.

Collaboration and Analysis:
- Partner with the Retail Account Manager and Analytics Team on customer data analysis, billing inquiries, and reporting requirements.
- Drive better customer experiences by identifying and implementing business changes that leverage new capabilities, including enhancements to the Customer Portal and Billing System.

Leadership and Support:
- Mentor the Retail Operations Officer, fostering professional growth and development.
- Provide occasional coverage for the Retail Operations Manager as required.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience.
- Experience in a retail electricity market environment including knowledge of retail systems and processes in the back office area.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
- Proven track record in customer relationship management.
- Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate good business and customer outcomes.
