Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

What will your typical day look like?
As a OCI Engineer you will be responsible for implementing Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service solutions both in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as well as participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the Cloud engineering space.
- Implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions in OCI
Deliver technical detail design of virtual cloud environments including OCI services such as FastConnect/Cloud Network, Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall, Compute services, Database cloud service, block storage, object storage in Agile environment - Deliver technical detail design of cloud security services such as OCI IAM, MFA, Group/Role, Compartments, Policies, Dynamic Groups, Cloud Guard, Certificate service in ISO27001 aligned environment
- Work closely with Product Owner, Technical leads, Solution Architects and development teams for continuous improvement
Enhance and drive automation and "Infrastructure as Code" delivery
Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and reduce universal credit consumption
Participate in technical discussion with existing & potential clients and internal teams,
Participate in research and development to deliver complex cloud-native solutions or on-premises
Ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues, and develop tools/systems for task automation - BAU Support as needed for critical and escalated issue
About the team:
You will be part of a large Oracle practice with mixed group of skill set. We have a large team of experienced Oracle professionals for Oracle database, Oracle Engineered Systems, Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/EPM/Analytics etc. We have over 300 certified Oracle cloud professionals in our Oracle practice. Our Oracle team is supporting medium to large private and public sector organisations having large Oracle infrastructure On-premise and Oracle Cloud.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with:
1) At least 3 to 5 years of experience in technical design and implementation, including:
- deep knowledge in public vs. private vs. hybrid cloud services
- deep knowledge of OCI and other public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and GCP
- development of cloud provisioning strategy and operating models for a client; and
- working knowledge in enterprise resource planning and other SaaS applications
- cloud migration utilities, planning and processes
- hybrid networking reference architectures
- cloud network and security solution design experience
2) 5+ years of working knowledge of Oracle technology, including Oracle Access and Identity Management, Oracle SOA, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Database/RAC, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle E-Business Suite
3) 5+ years of client presentation, deliverable documentation
4) Australian citizenship is required to be eligible for an Australian Government security clearance.
5) Proven creative and problem-solving skills.
6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
