About the role
We are currently recruiting for Business Improvement Specialist to join our Asset and Operations division based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.
As the Business Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Operational Improvement Manager (Copperleaf Product Owner) to achieve operational and strategic objectives through managing the development and delivery of Investment System (Copperleaf) improvement initiatives.
Copperleaf is the present investment management and decisions support system that supports the network strategy, regulatory, planning and portfolio teams. Investment management, financial and technical approvals, and process handovers are managed within the system workflows from project ideation until design.
The role is also responsible for using process improvement methodologies, to identify, develop and deliver system related continuous improvement enabling initiatives which drive process and operational improvements. This role will also be responsible for procedure updates, benchmarking and support the development and upgrade of the Copperleaf Investment System and the surrounding processes including workflow solutions, value calculation, estimation and asset modelling.
The role will require strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, problem solving and negotiation, with the ability to manage a portfolio of deliverables to time and budget constraints.
About You
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience working in a similar position with a focus on business/process analysis with exposure to the development, implementation, and monitoring of improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
Desired skills
- Demonstrated experience in the application of process improvement methodologies and principles
- Project Management skills to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Policy and process development skills to drive continuous improvement opportunities
- Graduate Certificate in Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Management, or similar tertiary qualifications
