About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager/People Leader - Level 4 to manage a team of Project Managers and support the delivery of our change initiatives.

In an exciting time of change at LV= General Insurance (LVGI) with a busy change roadmap and a variety of significant projects underway, collaboration is key. You will be an integral part of this evolution, keeping our customer-centric approach and putting the heart back into insurance as we develop new propositions from idea through to customer launch.

This is a dynamic and fast-moving place to work, and with so many moving parts, you will need to be engaging, persuasive and the glue that holds different teams together.

People Management will be the primary focus of this role, leading a team of Project Managers working across a variety of Projects and supporting the Change Roadmap to deliver best outcomes for the business. Supporting the Project Management Practice in things like ways of working and best practice, as well as supporting your team in all aspects of training and development, coaching and mentoring. There will also be the opportunity to work on Projects yourself.

You’ll be part of a highly-motivated team helping to ensure the business delivers its key strategic business goals, working with stakeholders to ensure we achieve the LVGI vision to be the Best Loved.

The role can work from the Croydon or Bournemouth offices with the opportunity combine working from home with working in the office, with an expectation to attend the office between 2 and 16 days per month depending on individual and business needs. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning & development.

About You

At LVGI we thrive on working collaboratively, with each other and always with our internal and external customers at the heart of what we do. Good communication, both written and verbal is important to deliver the requirements of the projects you manage. You will thrive in a multi-stakeholder environment, and be comfortable adapting your approach and language to work with colleagues of various disciplines and seniority.

You will already be a competent and effective Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of managing large scale projects, managing multiple work streams and liaising with people across multiple locations, using technology to support you coordinate with a remote workforce around the UK. You will have a good range of projects in your work history, and it would be a great advantage if you have worked across Financial Services before, particularly Insurance. You will be comfortable working with external third parties and partners including technology providers.

As an experienced People Leader, you will have managed or led teams, comfortable in that role, you will be able to evidence good leadership outcomes. You will be passionate about the ongoing support and development of your people, enabling them to provide the best outcomes for the business.

You will be used to interacting with Executive level stakeholders, presenting opinions and options, solving problems and influencing outcomes.

We are delighted to confirm that we are now a hybrid working business, you will have the opportunity to combine working from home with working in the office, with an expectation to attend the office between 2 and 16 days per month depending on individual and business needs.
