Do you want to lead a team building the real-time security monitoring platform for Microsoft 365? You'll manage the M365 Detect Platform team as a Principal Security Engineering Manager, building and evolving the technology that powers security monitoring, investigation, and response in M365. You'll have the opportunity to work across Microsoft with developers, incident responders, pen testers, and data scientists to evolve the way we protect ourselves against those that wish to do harm to our customers' data. Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams are just some of the massive services who rely on this platform for monitoring and response. You'll need to come with experience building and running cloud services, and a drive to innovate in solving one of the most important problems facing our industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage and retain direct reports who deliver results that measurably improve the security of M365's services.
- Prioritize and ensure delivery of projects which result in a secure, reliable, and flexible platform to meet our organization’s unique and evolving security monitoring needs.
- Collaborate with teams across Microsoft to evaluate technology and architecture options and maintain a long-term technology roadmap for the security monitoring platform.
- Find and recruit talented developers to contribute to the security monitoring platform.
- Plan and manage integration with other security monitoring solutions within the company.
- Create and represent plans to management for driving improvements to the security monitoring platform.
- Any other reasonable activity directed by management.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification:
- 8+ years Software Development Experience
- 2+ years People Management Experience
- Demonstrated experience building and running cloud services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in security industry
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems
