We are looking for an SAP Software Engineering Manager who is ready to lead an agile team and establish a development culture that is willing to drive and deliver on a continuous basis and is focused on improving the customer experience. The ideal candidate should have software engineering team management and hands-on experience on solution architecture, design, and configuration experience for SAP business processes within the Order to Cash space. This specific position will function heavily within the SAP platform in one or many Order to Cash domains/modules of SD, SCM, BRIM, AR, RAR, preferably in dealing with Federal Gov Contracts. This position is responsible for ensuring that Microsoft software engineering policies and procedures are upheld by both Microsoft full-time employees and suppliers through process evolution and measurability.

Responsibilities

- Build, mentor and lead a diverse high-performance team of SAP Software Engineers
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Architects, and workforce planning & demand planning in an agile/DevOps context.
- Work with Program Managers and Architects to refine roadmaps, delivery plans, define platform solutions and associated metrics
- Strengthen and improve SAP delivery team adoption of agile / DevOps methodologies
- Lead – engineering team through monthly agile development cycles and monthly/quarterly release cycles.
- Manage Suppliers – contribute to supplier strategy and supplier management, drive cost optimization and value maximization in partnership with Supplier Strategy Office and Supplier Companies
- Develop standards for SAP designs, interfaces, configuration, and quality best practices
- Drive strong Livesite focus and operational optimization
- Architect and build mature service capabilities (telemetry & monitoring, self-healing and self-service, scalability etc.)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in SAP SD, SD, Contracts Management, Dassian, SCM, BRIM, AR, RAR preferably in dealing with Federal Gov Contracts.
- 3+ years of people management or engineering leadership experience
- 3+ years of experience in service design, road mapping capabilities, standards creation and operational strategy
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
US Citizenship: The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in S/4 HANA and Fiori
- 12+ years of experience in software development, design, testing, working on high availability systems with passion for quality and automation
- Experience developing standards in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to succeed in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to develop standards and best practices for reading, writing, configuring SAP functionality and code, and designing end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities
- Knowledge of SAP transport exports and imports, confirming completeness and impact of transports
- Experience in agile / DevOps development methodologies, running feature teams or SCRUM training
- Experience in BRF+ and/or HANA Rules Framework
- Experience in ABAP Programming
- Experience in Automated Testing Tools, such as WorkSoft
- Experience in System and Business Process Monitoring
- Experience in Managing Business Processes in Solution Manager
- Previous Experience with Microsoft Technologies; SQL Server, IIS, BizTalk, C#
- Enterprise IT experience, preferably with ERP
