The Global Influencer Community team is looking for a high performing senior business program manager who will be responsible for the overall strategy, direction and operations for Microsoft’ community business leader recognition and engagement program. This position will provide a self-motivated individual a unique opportunity to drive strategic engagement with the world's top technology visionaries recognized for their proven cross-platform technical expertise, community leadership, and commitment to business results. The Regional Director Program provides Microsoft leaders with the customer insights and real-world voices it needs to continue empowering developers and IT professionals with the world's most innovative and impactful tools, services, and solutions. This position has senior leadership visibility and will effectively partner with business stakeholders to deliver a high-valued and connected experience for community influencers.
Responsibilities
High Level key responsibilities include:
- Drive strategic planning for the community program and oversee strategy execution and recommend solutions to overcome business obstacles.
- Own the definition and key components of the program identity including branding assets, program messaging, compliance requirements, and program documentation.
- Optimize internal business tools and processes and collaborate with various internal virtual teams to drive program innovation and transformation.
- Oversees successful change management and adoption of new tools and business processes.
- Build trusted partnership across a range of Microsoft teams to engage and sustain healthy, vibrant technical communities for Microsoft.
- Manage escalations from both internal business stakeholders and external customers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years working experience with strategy development and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving large and complex initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research/analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving execution to success.
- Demonstrated success in program and project management.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate data to uncover opportunities for business improvement.
- Define business and customer and user requirements, and translate them into scenario specifications.
- Exceptional cross-group collaboration and excellence in cultivating and managing business relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence business and technical decision makers.
- Strong passion in leading or managing technical community.
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems and or business, or equivalent industry experience, is required.
