The Xbox Game Pass Product Marketing team’s charter is driving off-console growth, including winning the hearts and minds of PC gamers with PC Game Pass. We partner closely with the Gaming Leadership Team to drive the programs and investments that will scale Game Pass through OEM and channel partners. We work closely with our partner teams across Microsoft to shape the short and long term growth strategy for Game Pass and identify ways to create value for the growing number of OEMs and retailers co-marketing our service.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of Product Marketing who will play a key role in shaping Game Pass OEM and Partner Strategy, and will lead visible and impactful projects in partnership with partner organizations. The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of PC gamer knowledge and passion, strategic thinking, creative storytelling, partner management, and indirect channel marketing.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Product Marketing and will require close partnership with senior leaders in Device Partner Sales, Windows, and Xbox Engineering, among others.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the channel growth strategy for Game Pass to win the hearts and minds of PC gamers, driving meaningful subscriber growth through the OEM channel. They must have a growth mindset, a deep understanding of OEM channel dynamics, and the ability to leverage partner feedback, customer insights, and data to drive successful implementation of strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
- Creating a comprehensive annual channel strategy and budget plan.
- Providing content marketing support for channel programs, including the publication of game IP assets and guidance for OEM device promotions.
- Championing improvements to the Windows and Xbox app surfaces for redemption flows and trials.
- Owning and overseeing the OEM JMA investment strategy.
- Driving attach through strategic OEM deals and long-range planning with partners.
- Ensuring alignment of key stakeholder groups through internal connections.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 10 years of experience with the OEM channel, including at least 4 years of practical experience developing and driving OEM partner marketing strategy and execution.
- Must have a deep understanding or passion for Gaming subscription business and experience developing programs impactful to membership.
- Must have experience designing, fielding, and interpreting consumer market research.
- Be able to effectively drive cross-group collaboration using effective communication and people skills.
- Possess a personal passion for marketing and technology, with a partner-centric, customer-first bias.
- Have deep ecosystem insight, including the OEM landscape, emerging trends, knowledge of OEM business models, and overall growth opportunities.
- Have excellent presentation and story-telling skills and an ability to influence at senior levels and partners.
- Possess strong financial and business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have a deep understanding of the Windows consumer business, especially as it relates to gaming.
- Must have experience influencing large-scale engineering projects, preferably involving Windows, Store, or Xbox engineering.
- Having an understanding of retail consumer channels is a plus.
