The Microsoft Digital Stores have become one of the largest worldwide etailers of Microsoft products. In our quest to drive growth and deliver best customer experience, we are seeking a Senior Business Development and Strategy Manager to drive net new business opportunities to foster future revenue growth, regional business development initiatives and to lead the global deployment seize fast growing digital channel opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Drives business development strategy work, identifying and framing net new global and regional business growth opportunities. Scope includes researching and assessing, analyzing, and prioritizing – working in close collaboration with regional sales
- Builds the business cases including strategic fit, rationale, economics, and ability to execute.
- Defines and manages the opportunity prioritization model and process.
- Creates framework, project plan and structure for a principled implementation approach, tight end-to-end project management.
- Manages external partners for business development projects, including partner selection, planning, contract negotiation and execution.
- Leads cross functional project teams to launch new business development initiatives. Works with teams to define approach, problem solve, and overcome obstacles. Transitions initiatives to run/sustain teams after launch.
- Creates standard measurement system and drives project planning and execution keeping all key stakeholders accountable for results. Consolidates and share lessons learned in a systematic manner.
- Drives regular communications to all key internal stakeholders, incl. exec leadership, both on corporate teams as well as regional teams. Includes stakeholder input and fosters sharing of best practices.
- Develops and shares customer, market and ecommerce industry trends and insights including competitive and market dynamics, product and technology trends.
- Establishes a network of relationships across the industry with potential partners regionally and locally.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate is an experienced business development leader with + 6 years’ experience in consumer ecommerce and/or technology
- A solid track record of identifying, leading and executing new business development initiatives with customer centric approach on a worldwide scope.
- Bachelor of Science/Arts (or equivalent) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Business development experience in SMB segment would be beneficial.
- Proven, strong partner relationship management and contract negotiation skills. Strong Project management skills.
- Demonstrated analytics and business modeling skills, strong technology and ecommerce understanding.
- Strong networking, communications, storytelling and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders, in a highly matrix organization with shared ownership for success
- Passion and deep knowledge of technology and specifically ecommerce technology and market and competitor dynamics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to innovative and growth hack.
- A character that exemplifies Microsoft values including integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement, and mutual respect
