Join us as an M&A HR Operations Manager in our Microsoft Acquisition & Venture Success Human Resources (“MAVS HR”) team. Our M&A team gets to on-board and integrate amazing companies that Microsoft acquires. We provide timely integration insight to influence the deal and strategy, scaled and rigorous due diligence, and we utilize our expertise to educate and influence leaders and teams for acquisition success.
For each deal, this role will lead the HR operations efforts span end to end from the initial recruiting phase through onboarding including; managing employment documentation globally, event and onboarding logistics, and managing employee data for Microsoft HR systems. It requires strong collaboration skills, judgment, organizational skills, great attention to detail, meeting/event planning, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and strength in navigating and juggling multiple priorities. You’ll partner with stakeholders accross the MAVS ecosystem, Microsoft business groups, HR Managers, Integration Managers, Financial Operations, IT, RE&F and other extended business partners on transaction components as well as with executives both within Microsoft and at the acquired company.
You’ll need to execute proficiently on multiple complex projects congruently, solve difficult problems, and have strong process orientation to be able to connect all of the pieces together. Ability to complete work quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having the total picture will be needed. A calm and reassuring manner, bringing confidence and focus to situations is highly valued.

Responsibilities
Business Program Planning and Design
- Collaborates with others to understand overall business goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as short- and long-term business priorities. Understands and identifies current program risks, impact, and mitigation plans in collaboration with others.
- Identifies internal opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones with minimal guidance. Collaborates with others to identify problems, define the program strategy, gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan, and work across teams to align on the plan of record. Begins to improve operations of existing programs by applying industry methodology, defining program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues. Drives clarity in program issues and strives for simplification, execution excellence, and a positive employee experience.
- Works with cross-functional stakeholders to design programs from initiation to delivery with guidance.
Business Program Management
- Assists others who overlook a portfolio of projects and acquisitions including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for programs. Communicates the program status to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, and risk mitigation plans and processes, with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrates an understanding of mapping or how systems work and impact one another. Collaborates with others who work with other teams (e.g., Total Rewards, HR Systems, HR Consulting and Shared Services, GTA, Global Security, New Hire Onboarding, MS Digital, Finance, M&A Integration Management) to ensure program processes are rigorous and executed efficiently. Helps develop processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs, and communicates them to stakeholders.
Business Program Evaluation and Improvement
- With minimal guidance, utilizes direction and strategy from leadership regarding business area of expertise in order to execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives, and influences others.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Human Resources or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
