Come and join the Worldwide Learning Career Development team as the lead for MCAPS Career Programs & Activation. You will be part of a brand new team who have been given the rare opportunity to re-imagine the Career Development experience for MCAPS (Microsoft Customer & Partner Solutions) employees. We are looking for someone to develop and execute a strategy to enable skills and career development through Experiential Programs & Employee Connections. This will be complementary to the formal training programs developed elsewhere as part of the MCAPS Academy. This a hybrid learning and talent role, enabling this person to lead a high performing team to develop and deploy experiential career development programs, thereby connecting people with experiences to support targeted skills and career development. In addition, they will harness the power of connection and collaboration with others, to develop skills and careers, thereby driving organizational performance.
You will own the strategy, book of work, execution and OKRs for your space and lead a cross functional workstream with associated budget and resources. You will partner across Worldwide Learning, HR and Talent teams to move from strategy to design and program management, mentor colleagues across disciplines, seek out and build senior level relationships, lead the envisioning and execution of significant projects, and contribute to and grow the Microsoft culture.

Responsibilities
- Strategy and Leadership
- Develop the strategy, roadmap and multi-phased book of work for Career Development Programs (Experiences and Connections within the MCAPS Career Development Strategy).
- Develop OKRs and success measures
- Lead the associated workstream to execute against plan in line with assigned budget and OKRs for FY23. Partner with internal and external colleagues (most notably in HR) to ensure successful roadmap and outcomes.
- Develop capability and resourcing plan for scaled team and permanent org past FY23.
- Using approaches such as Network Analysis, influence organizational design and performance
- Career Programs (Experiences): Connecting people with experiences to support targeted skills development.
- Connections: Connecting people with people to support skills development e.g. mentoring, shadowing
- Areas of focus should include:
- Talent Rotation programmes
- Shadowing Opportunities
- Mentoring Programmes
- Coaching as a service
- Network Analysis & Enablement
- Communities of Practice
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree), with 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, HR, Organizational Development, Network Analysis, Organizational Behavior Program/project management OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience/ability in leading strategic initiatives at scale, with a broad array of skills to ensure high value outcomes
- Experience in developing Career Development programs and Talent Development programs linked to SWP (Strategic Workforce Planning) and/or STP (Strategic Talent Planning) outcomes.
- Experience in leading teams to execute programs at scale and with organizational impact.

- Experience in developing workplace learning strategies with a track record of developing learning culture and learning eco-systems that support learning in the flow of work (Experience and Exposure).
- Ability to quickly establish credibility, building trusting relationships and influence senior stakeholders
- Track record of building high performing teams.
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $129,800 and $194,800.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
