The Corporate Supply Chain Integrity (SCI) team within the CELA Technology & Corporate Responsibility (TCR) organization is accountable for the development of centralized, cross-Microsoft supply chain governance, tools, processes, and monitoring mechanisms to manage legal and market requirements, stakeholder engagement, and associated transparency and disclosures.  This is across all Microsoft-wide supply chain integrity commitments in human rights, environmental responsibility, ethical business practices, and health and safety.  Our Microsoft mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.  We believe that everything we do reflects the people that make and use our products.  We are committed to continue to drive meaningful and sustainable impact in all that we do.  We are looking for a motivated and experienced program manager to join our team and develop supply chain assurance governance and monitoring mechanisms for supply chains across the different Microsoft businesses.

As Sr PM for Corporate SCI Assurance, you will advance our work through the development of the supply chain integrity corporate governance framework and improvement of monitoring mechanisms across the company.  You will partner with other sourcing and procurement business partners and business specific responsible sourcing teams to ensure standardization of risk management, due diligence processes and tools to accelerate transparency and drive continuous improvement across the company.  You will strengthen relationships we have with different internal and external stakeholders to unlock more opportunities for shared impact and success to advance our work in this important area.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardize Corporate-wide Supply Chain integrity policies, and partner with stakeholders on industry standards, develop and monitor KPIs/metrics across the different business in the areas of supply chain- human rights, environmental responsibility, ethical business practices, and health and safety.
  • Centralize and partner with legal and business functions to research, analyze and communicate relevant legal, regulatory, customer and other stakeholder expectations, best practices and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership.
  • Manage internal and external resources to deliver programs relevant to support overall strategy.

Strategy/Program Management

  • Manages and executes on Microsoft strategies and/or programs related to supply chain corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing).
  • Contributes to the formulation of Microsoft’s position on supply chain corporate social responsibility initiatives and/or topics.
  • Responds to supply chain corporate responsibility issues by prioritizing, engaging relevant parties, and escalating matters or contacting a specialist, as appropriate.
  • Supports the advancement of Microsoft's policy agenda that addresses societal issues.
  • Assesses complex local, regional, or national community and civic engagement needs to determine opportunities for supply chain corporate social responsibility program development and implementation.
  • Executes corporate supply chain responsibility programs designed to build resiliency, self-sufficiency, and opportunities for individuals and communities.
  • Develops and manages project timelines, budgets, and plans for supply chain corporate responsibility programs.
  • Contributes to and facilitates program development, outreach, and execution, and assesses feasibility of program extension to other internal and external topics and/or risks. communities.

Business, Technical, and Societal Expertise

  • Contributes to and/or implements solutions for advancing Microsoft corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) agenda, while managing risks and consequences.
  • Facilitates a positive impact of corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) initiatives in the internal and external communities.

Representing Microsoft  

  • Communicates Microsoft’s perspective on corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) issues and garners the support of external and internal stakeholders to contribute to the advancement of Microsoft’s CSR agenda.
  • Contributes to the messaging and communications strategy to ensure programs are integrated into internal and external stakeholder messaging.
  • Understands and applies detailed knowledge of Microsoft and Corporate and Legal Affairs strategies to drive results and program integrity.
  • Evaluates Microsoft technology to determine how products and software can be used to solve societal issues and create opportunities in the community.
  • Participates in internal and external events to communicate information on Microsoft corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) programs.

External Relationships

  • Develops partnerships with nonprofit, international, advocacy, and academic groups to advance supply chain corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) standards and development programs. 
  • Recommends improvements to Microsoft supply chain corporate social responsibility (e.g., human rights, sustainability, responsible sourcing) initiatives based on community and stakeholder feedback.

Internal Collaboration

  • Drives the execution of strategies that promote corporate social responsibility and other key businesses objectives.
  • Leads intra-group and/or cross-group projects and ensures accountability by leveraging project management approaches.
  • Escalates intra- and cross-group misalignment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years experience in supply chain corporate social responsibility, responsible sourcing, compliance and risk or related area
    • OR 5+ years experience in supply chain corporate social responsibility, responsible sourcing, compliance and risk management, or related area.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change across functions in large organizations.
  • Demonstrated project management, analytical and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, domestic and international travel may be required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills required, including the ability to clearly express related concepts in verbal and written forms at all levels of management and to partners with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • A high level of enthusiasm, creativity, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and effectiveness as a team player with experience of leading and influencing internal and external resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Commitment to investing in your own and team’s growth and development.
  • 7+ years experience in supply chain corporate social responsibility, responsible sourcing, compliance and risk management, or related area.
  • 3+ years experience managing a corporate social responsibility or related program.
  • 3+ years experience working in or with a large, matrixed organization.
  • Advanced user Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI preferred.
