As the Chaos Engineering group of Azure, we believe that the principles of Chaos engineering can benefit almost every stage of software development. Responsibilities
In this role, you will use your experience and technical depth to guide technical implementation and delivery of cloud services and software SDKs and products that will be used for Chaos Engineering. You will own multiple strategic partnerships with engineering organizations that will result in market-leading features for Azure Chaos Studio. As a hands-on technical leader, you will guide the team as they build scalable technology offerings spanning operating systems, virtual machines, and .NET runtimes. Finally, to be effective, the person in this role will be a good mentor, a pragmatic problem solver and have a solid ability to drive operational and technical excellence in their team
Qualifications
Required qualifications (need to be quantifiable):
- 7+ years of software design and development experience of production grade systems/or services hosted in the cloud
- 7+ years of working with C# or Java or any language to build services
- 3+ years of people management experience
- A BS/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- Good written and oral communication skills with an ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Demonstrated prior experience with operations inherent in running a reliable production-grade customer-facing service.
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
- Prior experience working in an agile development team with a customer facing product
