Senior Software Engineer

Azure Edge + Platform brings together Windows devices, Edge platforms, and cloud services to deliver rich, secure experiences to Microsoft customers spanning environments from the Azure Host OS to more than 1 billion monthly active Windows PCs. Our team’s mission is to build an OS platform that is powerful and secure by hardening the platform against attacks, and protecting the OS from malicious actors in the Windows and Azure ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Data & Intelligence Engineers have the following core responsibilities:

• Create and validate data pipelines to evaluate scenario success and health
• Provide insights that enable partners and leadership to make strategic decisions about the product and business
• Enable real-time alerting and analytics of data collected.
• Operationalize data to be processed by machine learning, data mining, and experimentation

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 3 years of software engineering experience
• Experience with Spark/SCOPE/COSMOS scripting or other data analysis technologies
• Solid SQL and Data Analysis skills.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++
• Strong problem solving, testing and debugging skills
• Familiarity with querying tools like Kusto, and visualization tools like PowerBI
• Strong communication and cross-group collaboration skills
• Ability to work both independently and collectively in a fun team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OS platform security and kernel-level security
• OS product engineering experience
