You will solve hard problems in distributed systems, containerized workflows, compilers, big data, query optimization, storage, networking, or more. You will leverage open-source and proprietary technologies and use languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and more. You will build and operate services with world-class availability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • You will design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software components and services while maintaining quality
  • You will embrace and use state-of-the-art new technologies
  • You will participate in technical discussions and bring new ideas to the table 
  • You will work with Product Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and UX Designers to design and specify new features from the engineering standpoint 
  • You will develop software that empowers customers to optimize their business processes 
  • Author internal tools that improve the teams’ quality and productivity 
  • Contribute to the positive, solution focused and creative team spirit 
  • You will be comfortable with ambiguity and deliver results with different working methodologies and fluid team structures.

  • Support less experienced team members in their progress and development 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience in software engineering
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ year(s) technical experience in software engineering
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3+ year(s) technical experience in software engineering
  • Experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale services   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry software engineering experience developing and operating complex systems using C++, C#, Java, OR Python or any other Backend language    
  • 5+ years of demonstrated technical leadership in shipping high-quality cloud services and/or applications
  • 5+ years of experience with shipping high-quality cloud services and/or applications
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and supporting code in object-oriented languages and database querying languages. 
  • Experience with building infrastructure using Cloud technology like Service Fabric, App Service, Docker. 
  • Experience in developing and debugging products and test code within a micro-services architecture 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred
  • Effective collaborator, experienced in creating technical partnerships across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
