Processing big data in real-time is now an operational necessity for many businesses. As the world is getting more and more connected, through machines or devices or wearables or sensors, the need for getting real time insights from this data in motion is vital for a variety of use cases. These include scenario like real-time fraud detection, fleet management and connected cars, clickstream analysis, real time recommendations, network and log monitoring.

Azure Stream Analytics, part of Azure Data, allows customers to effortlessly unlock real-time analytics from their streaming data, from cloud to edge. Our commitment is to make real-time analytics at any scale easier to use and integrate with end-to-end analytics pipelines, including Synapse Analytics, and allow our customers to focus on their business logic and not on managing the underlying compute infrastructure.

We are looking for passionate people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.  Your main areas of focus will include our control plane REST APIs, our deployment infrastructure and our DevOps automated monitoring, alerting and mitigation solutions/tooling. You would architect improvements to these experiences and work to remove complexity for the customer and our own engineers by enabling simple yet powerful management gestures from our runtime.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading development on features from the front, driving the development lifecycle for ambitious features from prototype/inception all the way to widespread customer adoption.
  • Generating software specifications, proof-of-concepts, and prototype solutions given high level feature requirements.
  • Working closely with team members to unblock each other and share learnings and knowledge.
  • Using data and telemetry to improve feature work and propose feature improvements to existing products.
  • Working in constant communication with customers and stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software design, development and architecture experience
  • 4+ years of building commercial grade, robust and scalable solutions in C#/C++/C or any other object-oriented programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or IT technical discipline
  • Previous experience working on cloud providers, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Previous experience working or developing with Azure Resource Manager REST APIs
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in a complex product space with ambiguous challenges
  • Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking ‘outside of the box’
  • Proven track record of delivering ambitious projects
  • Strong inclination for architecting at scale
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to implement design specifications in code with high fidelity
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills that drive compelling conversations and clear presentations
