Viva Insights Research, Analytics and Data Science (RAD) is a team of Data & Applied Scientists that work together to leverage advanced analytics, ML/AI techniques, and behavioral research to find new ways to measure human behavior, drive impactful improvements to the Viva Insights product, and conduct research to discover new interventions to help our customers thrive at work. In short, our aim is to empower the Viva Insights organization through data and research.

In this role you will help find clarity and insights in our data; understanding our user’s behavior and needs, defining north-star metrics that guide our product, creating standardized methods for evaluating new features, and evaluating our product over time.


Responsibilities include:

  • Employ languages and tools (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to drive efficient data exploration and modeling.
  • Deeply analyze customer data to inform product decisions through data exploration, statistical modeling and/or ML/AI techniques.
  • Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations.
  • Provide visibility and insights into our product for leadership and feature teams through metric development, implementation, tracking and root cause/anomaly detection analyses.
  • Partner with feature teams to set up and evaluate online experiments using modern techniques and methods (A/B testing).
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key timelines.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in either of the following areas:
  • Product Analytics; defining/tracking north-star metrics, identifying contributors to changes in metrics, surfacing insights, identifying opportunities, etc.
  • Measurement and Experimentation (A/B Testing).
  • Proficiency with relational DBs and Python (or R). Experience with a general purpose programming language (C/C++/C#/Java).
  • Problem-solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking with an obsession for improving our customer experience.
  • Track record in performing high-quality analyses of big data.
  • Self-driven and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
  • Communications & interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex analysis & insights to a non-technical audience. 
  • Undergraduate Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field (graduate preferred).
