We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced GIS Consultant to join our Buildings and Cities GIS/Digital Solutions team in Bristol, Birmingham, or Cardiff.
As a GIS Consultant you will work in a multi-discipline team applying wide range of geospatial data and technologies designing and developing innovative digital solutions and delivering technical projects for our clients to help them deliver outstanding outcomes with geospatial and digital technologies.
You will have passion for providing solutions with a can-do attitude and experience of delivering work applying high standards of technical and professional excellence.
With your experience as a technology focused, resourceful and innovative GIS Consultant you will be actively involved in a range of roles on our most significant projects across multiple sectors.
You will work alongside the GIS/Digital solutions team to deliver work involving data collection, advanced spatial analysis, development of automated workflows and tools, mobile and wab apps development, designing databases and authoring reports.
Your role will see you:
- Provide GIS and digital services as required to Mott Macdonald's business across Transport, Buildings & Cities, Energy, Planning and Environment
- Develop and implement digital solutions based on automation, geospatial data analytics, data science, data management and data integration to extract deep insights from data and improve decision making
- Deliver technical projects and digital solutions meeting delivery timeframes while ensuring technical excellence
- Develop Python scripts and FME workbenches
- Collect, manage, and analyse spatial and non-spatial data from multiple sources and create effective visualisations
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate requirements and provide GIS and digital solutions as required including developing desktop, mobile and web apps
- Work with clients and alongside GIS/Digital Solutions team to develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies based on automation, numerical modelling, programming, AI and IoT
- Work closely with international GIS team members to deliver projects and in ongoing development and implementation of standards for day-to-day GIS and digital processes
- Author and check reports as required
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, innovations, and new data sources
