Technical Authority (TA) is an arm of Network Rail (NR). Its purpose is to support NR's front line to deliver safe and efficient performance for passengers and freight. This is done by providing technical leadership and specialist expertise, managing the National Control and Competence Frameworks, facilitating technical growth and lateral learning and assuring regional delivery. What will you be doing?You will provide strategic direction regarding technical leadership; systems support and the continued development of Track, Switches & Crossings (T,S &C) asset enhancement engineering within NR.
This role is accountable for leading the technical delivery of UK and European research, development and innovation on behalf of the Track team within the Technical Authority. This includes acting as Network Rail's Technical Lead for the IN2TRACK2 and IN2TRACK3 European projects, including system integration. The role also focusses on support to the routes and regions in the form of Standards changes, track componentry knowledge, key assurance activities and national technology introduction and rollout.

- Salary: Band 2C (£78,575 - £88,397) Per annum
- Closing date: 26th January 2021
- For this role you need to live within 90 minutes of The Quadrant in Milton Keynes. Other locations may be considered on a case by case basis by the hiring manager.
