Summary of Role:
This is a full-time position that requires the Consultant to regularly collaborate with and provide support for clients and team members to meet clients’ and organizational needs. This Consultant will be responsible for a wide spectrum of duties including, but not limited to, supporting and leading development and review of ongoing client deliverables, data collection, financial analytics, vendor and client interfacing, issue resolution and general project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on the development of administration solutions to client business problems by leveraging Alterity Group methodologies, tools, and industry knowledge
- Participate in client engagements at the direction of Project Lead including:
- Identifying client’s vendor evaluation/selection and creating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for administration services
- Analyzing data and developing insights that support decision-making for clients
- Reviewing vendor contract terms
- Developing client business case to support selection of administration solution/vendor
- Preparing benchmarking analyses, comparing client services and fees to current market
- Assist in the development of presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to clients
- Adhere to project plans and ensure successful and timely completion of tasks
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with clients, administration vendors and co-workers
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Stay abreast of current trends and developments in the administration services industry
- Collaborate with other Alterity Group and NFP teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling services
- Respond quickly and accurately to client and vendor questions and work to resolve any issue or problem as quickly as possible, bringing in senior staff as required
- Participate in client calls, including taking notes and ensuring follow-up, as required
- Assist with all aspects of client meeting preparation, including presenting, as required
- Additional duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
- Familiarity with DB administration requirements and actuarial services
- Knowledge of DB concepts and compliance
- Ability to work on multiple projects (and teams) at once, prioritizing deliverables based on due dates
- Technical and financial acumen with ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong writing skills with ability to correspond in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Foundational knowledge of benefits outsourcing market
- A service-oriented mentality
- Ability to travel
- Proactive approach to client work
Education and/or Experience:
- Four-year College or University Degree
- Minimum 4 years of related experience with a consulting firm or employer/plan sponsor in a related area.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- CEBS desirable
- Actuarial studies desirable
