Business, Estate Planning and Investments firm is seeking a Senior Case Designer/Product Analyst to prepare presentations for extremely high net worth clients in the areas of Executive Compensation and Benefits, Estate Planning, and Business Succession Planning (emphasis on Estate Planning). Requires extensive knowledge of insurance, income and estate tax law, excellent communication and writing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (including formulas and charts). Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Should have good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Senior Case Designer/Product Analyst prepares client sales presentations in the following areas:
- Estate Planning using various tax-reduction strategies such as gifting, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships, Split-Dollar, Charitable Trusts, etc.
- Business Succession Planning using various buy-sell strategies such as cross-purchase and stock redemption.
- Nonqualified Benefit Plans such as Deferred Compensation, Supplemental Executive Retirement Plans, Phantom Stock Plans, 401(k) Mirror Plans, Split-Dollar Plans, etc.
- Executive Compensation and Fringe Benefits
Presentations include an executive summary of the presentation, a narrative write-up of the technique(s) being presented, and financial analysis using spreadsheets and charts. Each presentation is individually designed and created. “Canned” presentations are not used. The Senior Case Designer/Product Analyst should have the ability to put thoughts and ideas into a clear and concise presentation format that the client can easily understand.
The Senior Case Designer/Product Analyst will have extensive interaction with the client, the client’s legal and tax advisors, various insurance companies, and the underwriting and administration departments within the firm. Such interaction will entail the communication of ideas and issues in a clear and concise manner. Candidate should have a minimum of five years advanced planning experience. A CLU designation or comparable is preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Full product knowledge of all carriers and full strategy knowledge of all case design examples
- Assistance with developing cases from initial client data through final presentation
- Compare various funding vehicles for proposed plan(s), review with producer and prepare a summary of the proposed plan for the client
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of various plan designs and the rationale for final design including carrier and product choice
- Develop text and graphics for proposed plans
- Generate illustrations and presentations for proposed plans or estate planning designs
- Compare various funding vehicles for proposed plan(s), review with producer and prepare a summary of the proposed plan for the client
- Communicate with client, as needed, on the technical aspects of plan design and funding
- Assist with the development of new marketing materials to improve efficiency
- Perform, or participate as a team member in, special projects
- Participate in industry meetings for the purpose of continuing education and/or obtaining industry designations.

- Keep abreast of tax and legal changes
- Maintain industry files and carrier materials
- Maintain workflow management report for cases in progress
- Coordinate with Underwriting on the proposed plan of insurance, purpose, and ongoing administration
- Develop new marketing materials to assist producers in their marketing efforts
- Participate as a team member in special projects
- Keep abreast of tax and legal changes
Skills and Experience Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training with advanced planning, preferred
- CLU designation or comparable is preferred.
- Proficiency and comfort with mathematical analysis and terms
