The Role at NFP
The Senior Workers Compensation Analyst will provide workers compensation claims oversight and advocate for the client to obtain the best possible claim outcome.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advocates for clients by providing claim oversight for claim exposures for workers compensation for Commercial Property & Casualty.
- Receive initial notification of clients claim, review account instructions (if any), and begin processing of claim.
- Manage the progress of the claim from first report to settlement.
- Responsible for completing claim file, which includes coverage verification, making preliminary determination of coverage and coverage research to address claim issues that arise to obtain the best outcome for the client.
- Coordinate processing of claim with client, risk manager, designee, carrier, third party administrator, producer, AE and others to advocate on behalf of our client.
- Record and maintain claim information in EPIC system.
- Control service of claims and maintain status and follow up as needed.
- Maintain loss histories, and provide loss runs as requested via computer interfacing with carrier.
- Every 90 days, initiates a status or a follow up on all open claims.
- Occasionally author white papers on topics clients are facing with respect to workers compensation.
- Attend client claim meetings to advocate on behalf of the client, including pre-renewal, renewal and claim reviews. Occasional travel.
- Assist Sales Team to address client claim issues.
- Assist the Team Leader in various projects, including development of best practices, teaching and training of claim advocates and claim coordinator, and other adhoc projects.

Education and/or Experience:
- Four year college or university degree preferred
- 10+ years of claim handling and/or claims oversight experience in Commercial & Property workers compensation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and differentiate visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
