The Role:
This position allows the individual to interact with principals, producers and key staff within firms of a dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in the life insurance industry either as/or for a producer, independent distributor (BGA) or carrier.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple producers and engage directly with clients and prospects to gather necessary information and medical history, assist with formal applications (e-Apps, automated, PDFs, paper) and other new business paperwork necessary for case submission.
- Assist with contracting paperwork as necessary
- Work collaboratively with agents and clients as needed, and with Life New Business and advocacy teams (account managers, contracting, case design/illustration and underwriting).
- Commitment to culture requires a demonstration of professionalism, accountability, customer/client focus, and teamwork
- Assist with ad hoc reporting as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Excellent proactive communication skills (via email, voice, Zoom, MS Teams, etc).
- Proficient in MS office.
- Problem solver with the skills to clearly articulate producer and client issues to appropriate parties. Demonstrated ability to take ownership over issues and follow through to satisfactory resolution.
- Must have good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize between projects and assignments.
- Must be able to solve problems in a time sensitive environment. Should be thorough in completion of all assignments.
- Current client facing experience a plus
- Ability to run basic illustrations a plus
- Attention to details
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Education and/or Experience:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years or more in the life insurance industry or agency environment
