We’re NFP, a six-time Best Places to Work award winner in Business Insurance for 2017-2022 and we're looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team who'll be responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires supporting them in day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. The Senior Account Manager will have responsibility for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the Account Executives and Advisors. In addition, this person prepares materials for presentations and communications and assists team members with day-to-day client servicing. At this level, the Senior Account Manager takes an active speaking role in client meetings. While in this role, this person should be maintaining relationships with clients and carrier contacts and working proactively to effectively and efficiently deliver services to clients. Some Senior Account Managers may be responsible to manage their own block of business.

This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility 2-3 days a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review Loss Runs prior to renewal and discusses any noted claim issues with producers. Also, meet to discuss with the client as needed.
  • Provide technical support to producers as needed.
  • Obtain, review, and verify the accuracy of Work Comp. Experience Modification worksheets.
  • Transmission of applications following completion and signature of client.
  • Obtain renewal data from client in conjunction with the producer; including business plan for next year, statement of values, updated rating basis information, business income worksheets, driver lists, etc.
  • Assist producers in the design of insurance plans for clients.
  • Prepare new business submissions and send them to markets as decided in conjunction with producers.
  • Partake in client meetings with producers as needed.
  • Prepare Quotation Summary for review with producers.
  • Prepare proposals with the help of the communications department.
  • Transmit renewal orders and receive confirmation from carriers.
  • Prepare renewal binders and renewal invoices for clients.
  • Prepare renewal certificates and Evidence of Property documents.
  • Review policies and endorsements and prepare for transmittal to the client.
  • Maintain Schedule / Summary of Insurance.
  • Perform as the primary contact for the client for all service requests. Furthermore, assists client in making appropriate coverage changes, and decisions regarding Certificates of Insurance and special needs.
  • Take ownership of the final product delivered to the client.
  • Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures.
  • Review interim audits and/or reporting forms for coverage adequacy.
  • Responsible for obtaining reporting forms from the insured subject to the terms of the policy.
  • Maintain electronic files in Agency Management System and activities/suspense items consistent with agency procedures.
  • Aggressively strive to remain knowledgeable on, and comfortable with, the use of insurance company websites and other internet resource websites.
  • Aggressively strive to remain knowledgeable on coverage changes, enhancements, and industry changes.
  • Works proactively to maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts. May lead client meetings for accounts assigned to them.
  • The Senior Account Manager will have responsibility for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the producers.
  • Creates and maintains client files in accordance with office procedures. Responsible for keeping client policy records in the agency management system.
  • Perform projects assigned by agency management as needed.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology.

Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS preferred
  • Typically more than three years of industry and product line experience.
  • EPIC experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

  • P&C Insurance License required.
