Summary: This is a full-time position that requires the consultant to regularly collaborate with and provide support for clients and team members to meet clients’ and organizational needs. This team member will be responsible for a wide spectrum of duties but will initially be focused on stop-loss.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain stop-loss client database with information inclusive of, but not limited to: renewal dates, rates, carrier, deductible levels, contract type, progress of stop-loss requests
- Ensure that projects are meeting deadlines and client teams are aware of any issues
- Assist with monitoring and managing the stop loss proposal inbox, ensuring that all communications are acknowledged within 24 hours
- Collaborate with all team members on stop-loss renewals, marketings and on-going service needs
- Assist with the drafting and managing of stop-loss RFPs and renewals, including obtaining critical data, as required
- Review stop-loss loss proposals and renewals received, aggregating responses into a client friendly format to compare contract terms and pricing
- Support delivery of proposals and renewals to clients, upon request
- Work with client and vendor to ensure timely claim payment including following up and obtaining outstanding data required for claim processing
- Respond quickly and accurately to client and carrier questions and work to resolve any issue or problem as quickly as possible
- Participate in client calls/meetings, including taking notes and ensuring follow-up, as required
- Coordinate new carrier business, including reviewing paperwork for accuracy and managing towards critical milestones
- Work with client and vendor to ensure timely claim payment including following up and obtaining outstanding data required for claim processing
- Coordinate with medical and pharmacy carriers to receive detailed claims reporting, and review reports on a monthly basis to monitor claims that reach 50% of the stop-loss deductible
- Oversee claims process and eliminate claims forms for the client
- Collaborate with all team members across the organization on projects as needed including assistance with private equity, health and welfare consulting, and voluntary benefits
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with clients, insurance carriers/vendors and co-workers

Skills and/or Abilities Expectations:

Education and/or Experience:
- 2+ years of industry experience required
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Life, Accident and Health License required; must be obtained within 90 days of employment

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $100,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
