In addition, this person will also be reviewing legal documents and working with outside counsel in reviewing/editing plan documents to ensure they match the goals and objectives of the client’s needs.

  • Contacts prospective clients about insurance products and policies.
  • Meets with potential clients to discuss adequacy of existing insurance coverage and related financial resources.
  • Explains various insurance policies and products to potential and existing clients; guides clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
  • Suggests modifications and updates to clients existing insurance policies.
  • Builds customized insurance policies and packages to meet clients needs.
  • Processes insurance policy renewals.
  • Assists clients with filing insurance claims.
  • Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Knowledge Base:
  • Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.
  • Ability to determine best insurance policy for individual clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Knowledge of how Underwriting work
  • Knowledge of how Non-Qualified plans work and Estate and Business Planning
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work are imperative
  • Must be dependable and flexible in changing priorities with the ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) Compose correspondence (letters, memos, reports etc.) and proofread.
  • Good communications skills with ability to speak to staff and advisors clearly and distinctly with emphasis on correct pronunciation
  • Ability to apply commonsense, understanding and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
    Work Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in non-qualified executive benefit planning, estate planning and personal and business insurance planning
