Summary of Role:
This is a full-time administrative role which is utilized to aid in the agency’s customer experience and organic revenue growth. This associate is responsible for maintaining and assisting to grow a book of business. Employee must remain in routine, monthly communication with the lead producer, prospects, and clients.
Position Overview
The position is a hybrid position based from St. Augustine, Florida; most work will be remote, with occasional client appointments and work from with the St. Augustine office. The associate will be responsible for detailed client product review, client assistance and data entry. The position reports to the AVP, Individual Health, and is responsible for accurate review, assistance and data entry of health insurance plans within The Bailey Group server and client data base. The ideal candidate should currently or within 60 days obtain a license as a health and life agent, and will be able to assist with client service questions regarding individual health plans.
Responsibilities
- Client outreach and plan assistance to existing clients, and maintenance of their data records (withing Florida Blue data base, SharePoint Server, and Salesforce)
- Customer service
- Confidentiality of client and prospect information as per all HIPAA requirements
Necessary Qualifications
- Ability to learn and understand differences between individual health plan types and how these plans impact the subscribers.
- Strong organizational skills, personable, and the ability to be self-directed
- Typing speed and data-entry accuracy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and assemble appropriate and accurate information, to properly assist existing clients with renewals.
- Initiate new and replacement products with due diligence, and within regulatory compliance.
- Under the guidance of the Lead Advisor, develop product design or product recommendations as required by client, strategizing changes and troubleshooting problems
- Works under the guidance of the Lead Advisor and in accordance with Agency requirements to appropriately assist in development of new business relationships
- Work with advisors and account executives to assist individual and group clients, who may have a desire for health products or a change in carrier through development or maintenance of progressive business operations, including client contact, maintenance of prospect lists, involvement in civic organizations, centers of influence, information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet websites, and other sources, etc. Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Observe and identify additional product needs (other group products or individual products) for current clients and prospects.
- Exercise ethical judgment, while developing sales proposals and presentations that are consistent with NFP business and ethics standards,
- Conduct annual review of renewing individual health business, and make recommendations regarding the individual’s needs, based on training from the Lead Advisor.
- Deliver timely product information and/or policies to clients as new information is released.
- Maintain accurate data-base and physical files containing client information, in a manner consistent with Florida Department of Insurance rules.
- Reports actual results to agency monthly utilizing spreadsheets and/or agency relevant reporting tools
Vendor’s Required Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, and Certificates
- Florida Individual Health Insurance Agent’s license (FL 215) required representing the coverages being sold
- CMS Certifications as needed for over-65 product offerings
- Knowledge of HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services
- Ability to work independently and anticipate account needs and provide diligent follow-up
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
