This is a remote position with in-office flexibility, if desired, a few days a week.

Summary

The proposal intern will assist in daily operations, ensuring content meets brand, content guidelines, and industry best practices. The intern will write and maintain proposal content on the corporate platform, Loopio. They will ensure that all content is efficiently cataloged, tagged, and accessible for users. The intern will support the creation, implementation, and enforcement of guidelines, governance, and best practices. The intern will have the opportunity to attend regular meetings with the RFP and Proposal Management team, as well as staff meetings and webinars.

Core Functions

  • Assist in creating and maintaining accurate library procedures and policies
  • Maintain the content library by updating content and eliminating redundancies
  • Contribute to the writing, editing, organization, and formatting of proposal content
  • Create a compelling and persuasive impression of NFP’s experience and capabilities in all submissions including solution differentiators (e.g., NFP’s value proposition, appropriate references, supporting documentation, etc.)
  • Ensure content is developed following NFP’s established standards, processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create new content
  • Review and edit RFP responses for compliance, message, completeness, grammar, and formatting
  • Find ways to enhance RFP content as well as develop fresh and creative ways to illustrate messaging
  • Perform all other responsibilities as assigned or as required
  • Manage time and workload. Understand when/how to reach out to peers, managers, and other functions for assistance or guidance
  • Be eager to learn, discuss, and share new and relevant topics

Skills

  • Superior reading comprehension and writing, skills, including the ability to understand RFP requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, both internally and externally
  • Working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint

Education and/or Experience:

  • Pursuit of degree in Business, Communications, or English with a GPA above 3.0. Rising Seniors preferred.
  • Insurance knowledge or experience a plus
