Summary of Role:
This support role assists the Commercial Lines, Property and Casualty (P&C) team of Client Services Managers and Account Executives to service client accounts and help maintain client relationships. The position requires a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communication. You will assist the team by providing administrative functions. You may also support the team on new business opportunities. While in this role, the Coordinator is beginning to have client contact, via more senior team members. You may join meetings and client calls but will be responsible for listening, taking notes and providing follow-up to the team. You will begin to learn the functions of the Account Manager, most specifically begin to get exposure to the RFP process and continue to expand upon industry knowledge through special projects as directed by senior team members.
Desired experience is one to several years of P&C experience with Commercial coverages.
This is a full-time position, ideally working hybrid from our Charlotte, NC office. We will consider a remote option for well-experienced Commercial Lines candidates able to work on an EST schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains client files under office procedures.
- Prepares ID cards, certificates of insurance, Accord applications, binders and cancellations under the direction of more senior-level staff.
- Compile data for the Account Management Team to use in proposals and coverage checklists. May also assist in preparing proposals.
- Verifies that documentation (policies and endorsements,) and information requested are accurate.
- Perform policy checks, audit checks, and the process for completing coverage checklists and coverage recommendation letters (under the direction of senior-level staff).
- May answer billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from the Accounting Dept. when necessary.
- When an order comes in, verifies rates are correct, adjusts for any additional premium and expedites invoice at direction from more senior level staff.
